“The Moaning Yoni” is a physical comedy and musical satire featuring Joylyn Secunda as 17 characters. The show includes monologues, slapstick comedy, singing, and dance.
Set in a yoni-healing circle the plot follows a college student desperately trying to be normal, until her anthropomorphic vagina takes over her mind. From Tinder to Tantra they cross a sexual battlefield in a psychedelic journey.
David Secunda directed and co-wrote the original production, hailed in a five-star review by the Edmonton Journal as “…one of the best of the 2019 Fringe.”
Joylyn has performed The Moaning Yoni more than 50 times in cities across Canada. Highlights include performing for audiences of 600 people at the Vancouver Island MusicFest and having a sold-out run at the Vancouver Fringe Festival.
